HOUSTON – April 12, 2012 – Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, recently donated $2,500 to a Houston-area family on behalf of Principal Management Group of Houston.
Residents of The Vicksburg Community Association, Antoinette Fields, her husband, two children and grandchild lost their home and all belongings when, on February 3, lightning struck their house. While the house was burnt to the ground, no one was home at the time of the accident and no injuries were reported.
“Thanks to fundraising from Associa Cares and Associa employees, we are able to help the Fields family,” said Principal Management Group of Houston President and CEO Dora Parker. “Nearly losing a home is a tragic event, and I am glad we are able to offer assistance.”
Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies. Principal Management Group of Houston notified Associa about the family and their loss.
