Associa Cares Donates to Three Dallas Families

May 23, 2012

DALLAS, Texas. – May 23, 2012 – Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, recently donated $3,500 to three Dallas families after they were faced with tragic incidents that damaged their homes and property.

Barbara Toth received $1,500 to help replace her belongings after a fire destroyed her home. A neighbor rescued the elderly woman after her oxygen tank exploded, causing the fire.

Susan Ozowski received $1,000 after an April hailstorm totaled her car. Additionally, the hailstorm caused more than $16,000 in damages to her home.

“Associa Cares was created to help families affected by tragedy, man-made or natural.  While we were saddened to learn about these tragic incidents, we are glad we had the resources available to help Barbara and Susan,” said Joey Carona, Associa senior vice president.

Additionally, Bill and Esther Collins received $1,000 from Associa Cares on behalf of Principal Management Group of North Texas to help rebuild their home after lightning ignited a house fire that destroyed all of their belongings.

“Thanks to fundraising from Associa Cares and Associa employees, we are able to help the Collins family,” said Principal Management Group of North Texas President and CEO Mark Southall. “Losing a home is a tragic event, and I am glad we are able to offer assistance.”

Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies.
