TUCSON, Ariz. – March 28, 2012 – Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, recently donated $4,000 to two Arizona families who lost belongings in house fires.
The Tadeo family received $2,500 from Associa Cares to assist with replacing items that were lost in a house fire. The fire occurred while the family was sleeping. The mother was only able to get a change of clothes for the four children but nothing for her husband or herself. While the mother and the four children are safe, the husband was hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Until further notice, the Tadeo family is unable to go back to their home until it is cleared by law authorities.
The Martinez family received $1,500 from Associa Cares to assist with replacing items that were lost in a house fire. The fire occurred in the apartment and quickly spread. The family lost clothing, food and tools the husband uses for work.
“While losing belongings in a house fire is never easy, we are happy to help the Tadeo and Martinez family,” said Lewis Management Resources, Inc. President and CEO Grant Parker. “We hope the money donated from Associa Cares will aid both families in getting back on their feet quicker than expected.”
Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies. Veronica Iglecias, co-chair of the Associa Cares committee of Lewis Management Resources, Inc., notified Associa about the families and their losses.
