BELLEVUE, Wash. – August 28, 2012 –Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, donated funds to two Washington state families displaced after a storm caused a tree to fall on their condo.
July 7, a tree crashed into a condominium building, managed by EMB Management, an Associa company. The homeowners of the two units were asked to relocate for four to six weeks while the extent of damage to their homes and belongings were determined.
“This is a heartbreaking circumstance that, unfortunately, was unavoidable,” said EMB President and CEO Corey Recla. “Thankfully, Associa Cares is established to help families who lose belongings and homes from natural and man-made disasters.”
EMB Management notified Associa Cares of the situation and nominated the individuals for financial assistance. Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies.
