DALLAS, Texas – July 8, 2013 – Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, recently donated relief funds to two families affected by devastating tragedies.
Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by natural or man-made disasters. Many times, volunteers will contact Associa Cares’ national headquarters with opportunities to provide assistance.
• The Associa Cares national committee was made aware of the Kinanne family still struggling after Hurricane Sandy. The family received a donation to help rebuild their home.
• Associa Cares made a small donation to help the Walker family with medical expenses after a car accident left Mr. Walker hospitalized and in a medically induced coma.
“Associa Cares was created to help families affected by tragedy, man-made or natural,” said Joey Carona, president of Associa Cares. “While we were saddened to learn about tragic incidents, we are glad we had the resources available to help these families.”
Associa Cares is a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization created to assist families and communities in crisis as a result of natural and man-made disasters.
