Novi, MI – December 17, 2018- Associa Kramer-Triad Management Group hosted a Whirlyball competition to help raise funds for Associa’s national non-profit organization, Associa Cares.
Whirlyball is best described as a combination of basketball, hockey, and jai-alai. The game is played while riding an electrically powered machine called a WhirlyBug. Similar to a bumper car, the WhirlyBug is a far superior machine. Quicker, stronger, and more maneuverable, the WhirlyBug powers you and your team down the court in a five-on-five battle. The court is approximately 4,000 sq. ft. and there are 10 WhirlyBugs playing at one time. Each player has a jai-alai style plastic scoop with softball sized whiffle ball. Teams score by landing the ball in backboards at each end of the court.
Kramer-Triad employees played against sponsored vendors who provided donations to Associa Cares to enter the game. The unique event hosted several teams who each played one round of Whirlyball. After the tournament, an awards presentation was held for first and second place teams.
