CHANTILLY, Va. – April 12, 2012 – Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, recently donated a total of $3,500 to two Virginia families whose homes were significantly impacted in a South Riding community fire March 10, 2012.
Tawab and Abdul Hadi Ebadi’s home was destroyed by the fire and will use the money to rebuild their home for themselves and their two children. John and Becky Stanley’s home lost the roof of their home and had significant damage to their upper floors. The Stanley’s plan to use the money to repair the home for themselves and their two children.
“We are glad Associa had the chance to help families like the Ebadis and Stanleys,” said Community Management Corporation President and CEO Heather Graham. “While no amount of money can make up for emotional damage a house fire can cause, it can help to repair and rebuild homes.”
Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies. Steven Philbin, Mark Bailey and Community Management Corporation notified Associa about the families and their losses.
