RICHMOND, Va. – May 23, 2012 – Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, recently donated $1,000 to a Virginia family on behalf of Community Group.
Greg Arbaugh and his sons recently lost their home and possessions as a result of a house fire. Arbaugh is also waiting for a kidney transplant.
“Thanks to fundraising from Associa Cares and Associa employees, we are able to help the Arbaugh family,” said Community Group President and CEO Scott Meardon. “Losing a home is a tragic event, and I am glad we are able to offer assistance.”
Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies. Community Group first notified Associa about the families.
