Funds to Assist with Purchase of a Rehabilitation Treadmill Harness
DALLAS, Texas – January 17, 2011 – Associa Cares recently donated funds to Paul Jerde and his family to assist in the purchase of a rehabilitation treadmill harness following a cycling accident.
Jerde was riding his bike near White Rock Lake in Dallas, when he was struck from behind by a car. Despite wearing a helmet, he still suffered a severe head injury and also fractured ribs and punctured a lung. He is gradually recovering, but needs a treadmill with harness to assist in his rehabilitation and walking exercises.
Thanks to Associa Cares, Jerde and his family are able to purchase the appropriate rehabilitation equipment to help him on his road to recovery.
“It was a great pleasure being able help Paul Jerde as he begins to recover from this transportation related disaster,” said Joey Carona President of Assoca Cares. “He and his family are truly deserving of the help after this tragic accident, and I am glad we are able to arrange for this assistance.”
