PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. (August 15, 2013) – Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, recently donated relief funds to a Jenkintown family recovering from a damaging house fire.
The July fire completely destroyed the home and all family belongings. While the wife and three children escaped the fire safely and without harm, the family was left without clothing and other basic necessities.
Team members from Associa’s Mid-Atlantic Property Management made the national nonprofit aware of this family’s loss. Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies.
“Associa Cares was created to help families around the country who have been affected by tragedy or man-made disaster,” said Mid-Atlantic President and CEO Gail Van Dyke. “We are saddened to hear about these incidents, but glad we could take immediate action to help those in need.”
