BATON ROUGE, LA – August 18, 2016 – Associa, the industry’s largest community management firm, is contributing $50,000 toward helping the victims of the recent flooding in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and surrounding areas. The donation is being made by Associa Cares, Associa’s nonprofit organization which assists families across the country in need due to natural and man-made disasters.
“Our hearts go out to the victims of the Louisiana floods,” says Associa Cares President Andrew Fortin. “In an instant, thousands of families have found themselves facing devastating losses of home and property. We hope this assistance helps them with their immediate needs as they begin the recovery process.”
The recent torrential rains are to blame for at least nine deaths and the displacement of tens of thousands of people from their homes. More than 30 parishes across southern Louisiana have been declared disaster areas.
