Associa Cares Aids Washington Family

Feb 22, 2012

BELLEVUE, Wash. – February 22, 2012 – Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, recently donated $2,000 to a Washington family after losing their home, vehicles and pets in an accidental house fire.

The Cadenhead family lost their home, vehicles and dogs in a tragic house fire January 2, 2012. The fire was extinguished in 20 minutes by the fire department but not before the Cadenhead family lost everything.  The homeowner, sister, and daughter safely evacuated the house before they could acquire injury and are currently living in temporary housing.

“While we were saddened to learn about this tragic incident, we are glad we had the resources available to help the Cadenhead family,” said EMB Management CEO Corey Recla. “They are truly deserving of the aid, and I am glad we are able to quickly arrange for this assistance.”

Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies. Kathie McMahon, chair of the EMB Management Associa Cares committee, notified Associa about the family and their loss.
