When we created Associa Cares, we sought to find a way to help our friends and neighbors when the unthinkable happens. After all, it can be difficult to know what to do, especially from afar, and to know how best to help the people that really need it. Thanks to our incredible base of volunteer support, the people who live and work in the communities where we do business, we’re notified quickly when tragedy occurs. Our local branches set in motion our response, notifying our national staff, and helping to determine the need and the response appropriate to the event. It’s a testament to the power of caring on an individual and a company level, and I’m pleased to know that we’ve been able to help so many during their most challenging times. Board of Directors
The Associa Cares Board of Directors convenes annually to govern the affairs of the organization. The volunteer members graciously donate their valuable time to serve.
Operating Structure
Associa Cares has a minimal organizational structure, to both reduce cost overhead and to ensure that the highest percentage of our donations go directly to those in need. Therefore, our operational budget includes only minimal amounts for administrative expenses.
The Associa Cares organizational structure consists of three levels:
Board of Directors
National Committee
Local Company Committees
All committee and board positions are non-compensated, and staffed primarily by volunteers who serve under strict legal and ethical guidelines. Local branch committee members implement and coordinate fundraising efforts and respond to community needs at a local level. National committee members respond to requests from local members, and implement and coordinate fundraising and events at a national level. The board of directors serves as the steering committee for the organization, and makes financial and operational decisions for the organization as a whole.
At every level, the organization engages in public and media relations campaigns to aid in fundraising, and to generate support for those in need.
