Associa Cares Earmarks $250,000 to Assist Victims of Hurricane Sandy

Nov 8, 2012

DALLAS, Texas – November 8, 2012 –   Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, pre-approves $250,000 to assist families affected by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.

A week ago, the northern coastline of the United States was hit by the largest Atlantic hurricane on record. Hurricane Sandy devastated neighborhoods, destroyed homes, displaced families and brought normally vibrant and active communities to a standstill.

“Before the storm ever made landfall, we were working behind the scenes to devise a proactive plan that would help affected areas,” said Joey Carona, president of Associa Cares. “We anticipate a large number of requests from employees, homeowners and neighbors throughout the area and understand the urgency to take immediate action.”

The Associa Cares disaster response program is designed to provide timely and prompt response to individuals in need, regardless if they live in an Associa-managed community. Associa Cares is accepting applications for financial assistance from homeowners.  If homeowners have been directly affected by Hurricane Sandy, or know someone who has, email info@associacares.com or call 214-953-3009 to apply for assistance. To make a donation or to find out how to help, visit Associa Cares.

“Associa Cares wants to help area families resume life and return to normalcy as quickly as possible,” Carona said.
