FORT COLLINS, Colo. – July 5, 2011 – Colorado Association Services, an Associa company, with the help of Associa Cares, recently provided aid to residents in the Crystal Fire area around Fort Collins, Colo., whose homes and property were damaged by a fire.
A slash fire burned out of control on April 1 and spread across several valleys in Roosevelt National Forest, destroying 13 homes and leaving many property owners with few possessions. Fighting the blaze cost an estimated $3 million and required more than 450 people to contain it.
The Rist Canyon Fire Department created a relief fund to benefit the people most impacted by the event and CAS presented a $5,000 relief check to help with the rebuilding process.
“While we were saddened to learn about this tragic incident, we are glad the resources were available to help those in need,” said Dee Tyler Wolfe, Colorado Association Services Senior Vice President. “They are truly deserving of the aid, and I am glad we are able to quickly arrange for this assistance.”
