STOCKTON, Calif. – May 20, 2014 – Associa branch affiliates M & C Association Management Services, Inc., and Massingham & Associates combined efforts to raise over $38,000 at the 3rd Annual Associa Cares Vendor Speed Dating Trade Show. The event took place on May 2, 2014 at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel in Stockton.
“The turn out this year was spectacular,” says M & C CEO Heather Kerwin, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®. “Not only were we able to donate this money to a great cause, we were also able to create stronger bonds with our team and network with some great vendors.”
Community association board members along with Associa employees spent five minutes at each of the 48 vendor tables and moved around in succession at the ring of a bell in speed dating-style. Vendors ranged from construction companies, to landscaping, painting, legal services, banking, insurance agencies and others who all together contributed a record breaking $38,691 to Associa Cares.
Associa Cares is a national nonprofit 501(c)3 organization created to assist families and communities in crisis as a result of natural and man-made disasters. Through donations provided at fundraising events across the country, Associa Cares is able to provide necessary goods and services to the families affected by these types of tragedies.
