HOUSTON – August 28, 2012 –Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, donated to two Houston-area families on behalf of Houston Community Management Services (HCMS) and Principal Management Group of Houston (PMGH).
Houston Community Management Services
A single-mother received a donation after a hail storm several months ago caused severe damage to her roof. While insurance helped, there were still costs that had to be paid out-of-pocket.
Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies. HCMS first notified Associa about the family.
Principal Management Group of Houston
A family living in a PMGH-managed association received a donation after a July 7 storm caused lightning to strike their home. It destroyed the garage, melted the car interior and caused smoke damage throughout the home. The entire house is a complete loss, as well as all belongings.
Associa Cares relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies. PMGH first notified Associa about the family.
Associa Cares is a national nonprofit 501(c)3 organization created to assist families and communities in crisis as a result of natural and man-made disasters. Through donations provided at fundraising events across the country, Associa Cares is able to provide necessary goods and services to the families affected by these types of tragedies.
